Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms had a bit of a funky smell, possibly trying to mask something else, and the furniture felt outdated for today. Despite that, our room for three people was massive with a view of the pool, although it could get a bit dim due to the small windows. The service was not the friendliest compared to other places, but they were helpful when we needed information and even drove me to the hospital. As for the location, while it's great if you have a car, it might be a bit far from other conveniences for those without transportation. The setting was peaceful, although a tad farther from Orvieto old town than expected. The dining was decent with fresh blackberries being a pleasant surprise. The hotel also has some lovely dining spaces outside.
The hotel may not be the most opulent but offers decent rooms with a mix of modern comfort in a historical setting. The service is friendly and helpful, although not the most welcoming encountered. Its location is advantageous for car travelers but might be a distance from other amenities for those without transport. The dining experience provides a good assortment, and the facilities are satisfactory.
My stay at the hotel was wonderful. The rooms were as modern and comfortable as you can get with a huge size overlooking the pool, but the outdated plastic sidings and panels, as well as the vinyl flooring from the 70s, were a downside. The service, while very helpful in answering questions, locating items, and arranging transportation, appeared understaffed. The location, particularly lovely by the river and not far from Orvieto center, offered a great spot for dining al fresco, especially in the high season. The dining experience was enjoyable with a good selection, though limited options were noticeable. Overall, a pleasant stay.
